Welcome to our website. Here you will find information about our Society and its activities along with conference details and other digital resources of interest.

The Society was founded in 1986 and currently has over 260 members world-wide. Membership is open to all, including professionals, citizens, patients, and users of healthcare and health information, who share the Society's concerns and objectives.

We have designed our site to be easy and efficient to navigate, catering for both casual and frequent visitors. The BMiS logo in the top-left of each page will take you back to the home page. Hover your mouse over a hyperlink for a short description of the webpage it links to (Internet Explorer only).

On your return visits to our website, please watch out for any red markers () next to the links in the menu to the left. These indicate that the corresponding page has been updated since your last visit. Further, the What's new link will list all pages added or changed within the last month.

External sites are opened in a separate window as are those pages we feel are more likely to be printed (so that they can be printed without the navigation menu and site banners).
